Raton MainStreet and the Raton Police Officers Association are pleased to announce the 16th Annual Safe Trick-or-Treat event on Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 2 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

We invite trick-or-treaters to walk through downtown Raton and visit participating local businesses for free candy, giveaways, and 

The event schedule includes:

• Costume Contest at 2 PM: Trick-or-treaters and families gather together to hear about safety protocols, as well as a judged costume contest by the Raton Police Officers Association. Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for both boys and girls. InBank has donated draw-strings bags for candy.
• Trick-or-Treating: Participants will walk the downtown business district to collect treats from participating businesses.
• Event Finale: The festivities will conclude at the Raton Elks Lodge, where trick-or-treaters can pick up and enjoy complimentary hot dogs and punch.
