Executive  Director Position Available

Raton MainStreet is seeking an Executive Director with the education/and or experience in one or more of the following areas:

Commercial district management, economics, finance, public relations, planning business administration, public administration, retailing, volunteer and/or non-profit administration, architecture, historic preservation, and /or small business development.


The Executive Director must be prepared to work with downtown business people, property owners, public agencies and community organizations on design, historic preservation, and promotional and economic development initiatives. The ideal candidate must be entrepreneurial, energetic, imaginative, well organized and capable of functioning effectively in an independent environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. He or she must be computer literate and preferably be able to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher as well as Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop Elements. Supervisory skills and experience are desirable.

This position is an employee position. Salary range is $32-36,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
